The Slice The Karens In Rosalia Just Seem To Have All The Answers

A question came up.

And this guy says to talk to Karen at the bank in Rosalia.

So we find a phone listing for a bank in Rosalia, call and ask for Karen. Karen comes on, answers our question and then tells us in a totally polite way that we really want to talk to the Karen at the other bank.

Slice answer: Graham Gombosky is 17 now. But when he was in grade school, he got a bean stuck in his ear. It sprouted and he had to go to the emergency room.

Further evidence that we are out of touch: So we were standing in line behind a young woman at Great Harvest downtown. And she wrote a check for her purchase. A check for 85 cents. This struck us as fairly remarkable. But the first two times we told the story, our listeners looked at us with “Yeah, so?” expressions.
