Construction Work Will Disrupt Traffic

Spokane Valley motorists will face traffic disruptions caused by two more road projects scheduled to begin next week.

State Department of Transportation crews will be repairing a damaged bridge rail in the westbound lanes of the Sprague Avenue-Interstate 90 overpass.

The rail was broken recently when it was hit by a truck.

Crews will work on the rail between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

The westbound lanes may be restricted or closed during the duration of the project.

Other DOT crews on Monday will begin repaving the abandoned railroad crossing on Pines Road, just north of Indiana.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on Pines during the five-day project.
