Tell Us Your Incorporation Views …

Three times Valley residents have been asked to form their own city. Three times they’ve said no. Now, less than a month after the latest incorporation election, five groups have proposed forming five separate cities in the Valley.

The Valley Voice is interested to know what Valley residents think about these latest incorporation efforts.

Do you think the proposed cities of Opportunity, Evergreen, Dishman, Hillcrest Park and Park Place have a chance at passing? Or will voters shoot down each of them like you have previous attempts?

Is incorporation a viable option for local government in the Spokane Valley? Or do you wish it would just go away? Why?

If you have a Touchtone telephone, please call Cityline to give your opinion. The number is (509) 458-8800, Extension 9896. The service is free, but longdistance charges apply to people who normally pay them when calling Spokane.

Leave your name and telephone number, if you don’t mind being contacted by a reporter.

The Valley Voice staff will compile your answers for a story to run June 17.
