Designer Mints Nicole Brown Simpson Silver Coins

Orange County Register

The trial got to Jamie Graham.

She couldn’t watch the O.J. Simpson murder trial without doing something for the family of Nicole Brown Simpson, for the other battered and bruised victims of domestic violence. And for her own peace of mind.

Graham, a designer, came up with the idea of a silver commemorative coin. Acting on her creative impulse, she designed a coin engraved on one side with Nicole Simpson’s profile and inscribed with the words “In Loving Memory of Nicole.” On the other is the image of an angel holding a child, the logo of the foundation for domestic violence victims created in Nicole’s name.

“I wanted something that could be healing for them and for everybody who has gone through this,” said Graham, 30. “Nothing can replace Nicole and Ron (Goldman), but maybe having something to hold close to your heart will help.”

Graham gave the silver coin pendants to Nicole’s parents and her three sisters. The coins also are being offered through Graham’s company, ECOproducts Inc., as a fund-raiser for the foundation. The group receives 30 percent of the gross sales, Graham said.
