In case you haven’t noticed, Manito Park has a 20-square-foot hummingbird and butterfly garden with 52 species of plants at the southeast corner of the Ferris-Perennial Garden. Another two acres on the park’s southwest side have been groomed as an unmanicured wildlife area featuring low maintenance native plants. A guide to planting your own hummingbird garden is available by calling 456-4082. , DataTimes
