Unlv Selects New A.D.

UNLV has hired University of Memphis athletic director Charles Cavagnaro as its new athletic director.

Cavagnaro, selected by incoming UNLV president Carl C. Harter, will be formally introduced as UNLV’s new athletic director at a news conference today.

Cavagnaro, who has been at Memphis for 14 years, will take over Aug. 1 from interim UNLV athletic director Fred Albrecht.
