Bread Won’t Leave You Flat

With Spokane’s only Indian restaurant having closed last fall, we’re again left to fend for ourselves when it comes to curries.

While some Indian dishes aren’t too difficult to duplicate at home, the same can’t be said for the breads - particularly pappadum, a crisp, spicy wafer made from lentil and rice flours.

Fortunately, a British company called Patak’s supplies authentic sundried pappadums from India that are ready to eat after a few minutes in the microwave or frying pan.
