Charges Dropped

Charges of aggravated battery were dropped against Miami Dolphins linebacker Dion Foxx and former Dolphins receiver James Pruitt.

The charges stemmed from a fight in April involving Foxx, Pruitt and four other men outside a convenience store.

Running back Terry Allen, twice a 1,000-yard rusher with Minnesota, reportedly has agreed to a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed rookie free agent defensive tackle Eric Fontenot. The team also announced the retirement of wide receiver Ron Lewis and released wide receiver Kendrick Jones and defensive tackle Gerald Owens.
