Professor Named Acting Law School Dean

Professor John A. Miller will serve as acting dean of the University of Idaho College of Law for at least the next year.

Miller has accepted a one-year contract for the post, with the possibility of earning renewal at the end of that term.

“Professor Miller is highly regarded by the faculty and students in the College of Law,” Idaho President Thomas Bell said Wednesday. “He has a rich background as a teacher and is respected as a scholar in his field.”

Dean Sheldon Vincenti is leaving to return to teaching.

Bell said having Miller as acting dean for at least one year will enhance cooperation between the college and Idaho’s legal community, plus improve the search process.
