Spokane Man Honored For Work To Provide Affordable Housing

Andy Reid, director of the Spokane Low-Income Housing Consortium, has received a state award for providing “hope to many families in need.”

The “Friend of Housing Award,” announced on Wednesday, came from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. “Reid has been an effective advocate for more than 16 years,” said Busse Nutley, chairwoman of the commission.

The commission helps arrange special loans to buy, build or preserve affordable housing.

As director of the Spokane housing consortium, Reid helps many Eastern Washington families find affordable housing.
