Man Stops Burglary In His Brother’s Home

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Washington man foiled a burglary after he walked into his brother’s home and confronted a man headed out with bags of food and clothes.

Boyd Baker stopped Thursday to check his brother’s home off U.S. Highway 95 near Samuels Road. Inside he found a man packing up household items.

The man said he thought the house was abandoned and hurried out, authorities said.

Boyd called Bonner County deputies who began a search for the man, later identified as Wesley Coleman, 40. As a canine unit arrived to search for Coleman, Detective Harvey Thompson spotted him riding in the back of a pickup.

He was arrested on burglary charges and taken to the Bonner County Jail.
