Teen Killed After Car Fails To Stop At Sign

Associated Press

A Rexburg teen was killed when the car she was riding in failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by an oncoming car.

Katherin Wren, 15, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada as it rolled. The driver, Christina Pace, of Rexburg, failed to stop at the intersection of 3000 West and Highway 33 Friday evening. A 1994 Mazda traveling down Highway 33 driven by Shanell Larsen, of Rexburg, stuck the Bravada, causing it to roll.

Wren was pronounced dead at the scene. Pace was admitted to Madison Memorial Hospital for observation.
