Three Children Injured By Wwii-Era Bomb
An explosion that injured three siblings playing in a national park may have been caused by an American bomb from World War II, the Ministry of Defense said Monday.
Jenny Worrall, 8, was in stable condition after undergoing surgery to repair injuries to her stomach, spleen and chest. Her two brothers, 9 and 10, suffered shrapnel wounds.
Military officials think the shell the girl picked up could date to the 1940s, when Americans used the area to train for D-Day.
