Woman Dies After Avalanche

A 24-year-old woman from Pleasantville, N.Y., died Wednesday of head injuries she suffered in a rock slide and avalanche in Glacier National Park.

Park spokeswoman Amy Vanderbilt said the slide near Avalanche Lake was reported at about 5 p.m.

Two other people were hiking with the woman.

Officials were withholding her name.
