Cda Students Recognized For Academic Efforts

The University of Idaho Alumni Association has recognized the academic achievements of the top 10 percent of juniors and seniors at Coeur d’Alene and Lake City high schools.

Each student, 51 from Coeur d’Alene High School and 46 from Lake City High School, received a dictionary and certificate at a recent Top Scholar Program ceremony and reception.

Also honored at the ceremony were Bud and Virginia McDonald and John and Linda Mitchell. The McDonalds received the Jim Lyle Volunteerism Award for their longterm commitment and service to UI and the alumni association. The Service Award was given to the Mitchells for their work with the Kootenai County Chapter in keeping it vital and organized for nearly 10 years, with John Mitchell serving as chapter leader for four years.
