Rivers, Dams Show Opens At Cheney Cowles

The opening festivities of “Rivers and Dams: Promises, Progress and Perils” will take place Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cheney Cowles Museum, 2316 W. First.

Special activities will take place both inside the museum and on the grounds.

There will be a salmon maze, a living stream, a barbecue and remote broadcasts by KGA-AM radio.

There will also be crafts and games for all ages. Admission to the museum and all activities will be free on Saturday only.

The “Rivers and Dams” exhibit will continue through Sept. 24, and will include a number of special events throughout the summer.
