Agencies Awarded State Grants To Help The Homeless

The Bonner County Homeless Task Force and St. Vincent de Paul in Coeur d’Alene landed $46,316 in grants this week.

The Idaho Housing Agency awarded the task force $11,316 and St. Vincent’s $35,000.

The money will be used keep homeless shelters operating in the two communities and help pay for counseling and other rehabilitation services for the homeless.

The Idaho Housing Agency had 21 grant applications from across the state. The agency divvied up $380,950 to 14 of the applicants.

The YWCA in Moscow received $26,400 and another Moscow agency, Alternatives to Violence, netted $21,000. , DataTimes
