Tiny Toads Invade Village In Russia

Compiled From Wire Services

Summer visitors have discovered the village of Kazatskoye, but residents aren’t happy about it. The visitors aren’t bringing any money and they’re always underfoot.

They’re toads - hordes of tiny toads.

“The unbidden amphibian guests are so numerous that sometimes you can’t put a foot down outside,” the ITAR-Tass news agency reported Friday.

The toad invasion began a few days and people in Kazatskoye are “racking their brains trying to figure out why the toads chose their village,” the report said.

It suggested the invasion might be linked to unusually warm weather.
