Lucht’s Two Tds Lift West All-Stars Over East A-B Unit

Eatonville quarterback Bobby Lucht threw two touchdown passes to lead the West AllStars to a 16-6 victory over the East in the East-West A-B Summer Classic football game Saturday night.

Lucht’s touchdowns came on passes of 27 yards to Montesano’s Brian Winkleman in the first quarter and 35 yards to Mount Baker’s Lance Zamzow in the second. Lucht completed 7 of 18 passes for 98 yards.

Winkleman, who was named the West’s outstanding offensive player, also kicked a 22-yard field goal.Zamzow, who had an interception, was named the West’s top defensive player. Cashmere’s Joe Mattson, a linebacker who also picked off a pass, was the East’s top defensive player.

East Valley-Yakima’s Ty Nunez was the East’s top offensive player with five receptions for 70 yards, including a 34-yarder to the 1 that set up the East’s only score, a plunge by Royal’s Dan Murphy.
