Tauziat Crowned Champ

Nathalie Tauziat ended Chanda Rubin’s shutout streak by battling back for a 3-6, 6-0, 7-5 win for the

Eastbourne grass-court title.

At St. Poelten, Austria, Thomas Muster extended his clay-court winning streak to 39 with a 6-0, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Stefano Pescosolido in the semifinal of a $375,000 tournament.

In the final, Muster plays Bohdan Ulihrach, who defeated Slava Dosedel 7-5, 6-0.

At Halle, Germany, defending champion Michael Stich and Marc Rosset won to move into the finals of the $725,000 ATP tournament.

The third-seeded Stich beat Paul Haarhuis 7-6 (7-4), 6-1, and fourth-seeded Rosset beat Jacco Eltingh 7-6 (7-4), 7-5.

At Nottingham, England, Javier Frana defeated Todd Woodbridge in the final of the Nottingham Open grass-court tournament 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.

In doubles, the American brother team of Luke and Murphy Jensen won its first title since the 1993 French Open with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 victory over Patrick Galbraith and Danie Visser.
