Arrested Chief Kills Three Policemen

A village chief took an M-16 rifle from police officers who were driving him to jail and opened fire, killing three of them, police said Sunday.

Nelson Teodoro was arrested Saturday and was being escorted in a jeep to a jail in Narra, when he allegedly shot the policemen.

A police report did not say why Teodoro was arrested.

He surrendered a few hours after the shooting.
