Boy Drowns In Bucket Of Water

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 2-year-old boy died Thursday in Pend Oreille County after falling headfirst into a bucket of water.

Tina Wilson told authorities her son, Levi Wilson, was outside for a few minutes when he apparently fell into the bucket.

After finding her son, Wilson called 911 at 3:22 p.m. and a dispatcher gave her directions on how to revive the boy, said David Snipes, a Pend Oreille County sheriff’s deputy.

Levi Wilson was still alive when a medical helicopter flew him to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane from his family’s home at 371 Kirkpatrick Road, Snipes said.

The home is just east of U.S. Highway 2 and a mile north of the Spokane County line, he said.

At 4:33 p.m., the child was pronounced dead, Snipes said.<
