Holiday Closures

Many public services are affected next week by the Fourth of July holiday:

Government: City, county, state and federal offices will be open on Monday but closed Tuesday.

Mail: There will be no postal service Tuesday.

Garbage: No pickup Tuesday. City and county garbage collectors will pick up one day later than usual this week. Downtown garbage, however, will still be picked up Tuesday.

Buses: Spokane Transit Authority buses will run on a Sunday schedule Tuesday, hourly from 8:45 a.m. to 10:50 p.m., or just after the fireworks at Riverfront Park.

Libraries: Spokane city and county libraries will be closed Tuesday.

Parking meters: Parking is free Tuesday, but meters will be checked Monday.
