Nic Grabs Two Local Track Stars

North Idaho College track coach Mike Bundy announced the signing of two more athletes Thursday.

Laura Walker of Sandpoint is transferring to NIC after one year at the University of Montana. She was a three-year state champion in the shot put and also won the discus her senior year.

Julie Swart of Orofino, who won a state title in the triple jump last spring, has signed with NIC.

April Near of Bonners Ferry, a standout hurdler who initially signed with NIC, has announced she’ll attend Idaho State University in Pocatello.

Earlier in the week, Bundy announced he had signed Dan Usdrowski, a hurdler, from Kootenai.
