In 1964, theater critic Walter Kerr wrote: “Don’t bother holding onto your hats, because you won’t be needing them. You’d only be throwing them into the air, anyway. ‘Hello, Dolly!’ is a musical comedy dream, with Carol Channing the girl of it.”

More than 30 years later, Carol Channing is back with “Hello, Dolly!” The show arrives Tuesday at the Spokane Opera House for eight performances. An interview with Carol Channing will appear in Monday’s IN Life section.
