Universities Issue License Plates

When bumper stickers and rear-window decals just aren’t enough, fans can declare their allegiance to Washington State University or the University of Washington with a license plate.

The collegiate license plates, which go on sale Monday, were unveiled Thursday at the Riverpoint Higher Education Park.

They cost $30 extra, and $28 of that goes to WSU or the UW for scholarships.

The Washington State design features the maroon Cougar-head logo, while the University of Washington’s has the Husky mascot and a gold W.
