More News For Idaho Readers

Two of the most important services a newspaper offers are pretty basic: obituaries and letters to the editor. Starting today, The Idaho Spokesman-Review is changing how it handles both.

Obituaries: Look for a more complete, timely report of obituaries in North Idaho. The Chronicle page - in the In-Life section, next to the comics - today becomes the Idaho Chronicle page. Some Washington obituaries still will appear, but Idaho obituaries will take precedence.

Idaho births and the community calendar, Monday through Saturday, also are moving to the Idaho Chronicle page.

Letters: Today, readers will see more letters on the Roundtable page. As always, letters from Idaho writers may appear any day of the week. But Idaho letters will become a special priority of the Roundtable on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

News of the death of a loved one is something you can’t do without. We believe that a vibrant exchange of ideas through letters to the editor is something you shouldn’t be without. Through these changes, The Idaho Spokesman-Review hopes to better serve our family of North Idaho readers.
