Redskins Quarterback Friesz, Paul Skansi To Sign Autographs

Washington Redskins quarterback John Friesz and former Seattle Seahawks receiver Paul Skansi will sign free autographs at the University City mall on next Saturday.

The current and former professional football players will be part of the Home Plate Productions sports card and memorabilia show at U-City. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. next Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 12.

Friesz is a Coeur d’Alene High School and University of Idaho product who has played at San Diego and Washington. He will sign from noon to 2 p.m. next Saturday.

Following him from 2 to 4 p.m. next Saturday will be Skansi, a former University of Washington star who played for the Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League and now is an assistant football coach at Idaho.

In addition, there will be a free pog tournament March 12 from 1-3 p.m.

Next Saturday’s show will be one of three at University City this year.

MeadowWood ladies golfers meet

The MeadowWood Ladies 18-Hole Golf Club will begin the season with an 8 a.m. meeting followed by golf on March 22.

The group is seeking new sponsors for its annual Weekender Tournament, scheduled for June 10-11.
