Teen Convicted After Prank Kills Infant
A man was convicted Friday of throwing a bowling ball off an overpass and killing an 8-month-old girl in a car.
Calvin Settle, 19, was found guilty of manslaughter in the 1994 death of Natalia Rivera of New York City and could get up to 10 years in prison April 7.
Settle had testified that the 16-pound ball had slipped out of his hands as he stood on the overpass. But two boys, ages 11 and 12, who were with Settle at the time said he heaved the ball onto the highway.
