Napier, Smith, Missall Named To All-Big Sky Teams

Eastern Washington basketball players Lori Napier, Tina Smith and Kristy Missall were named to the 1995 All-Big Sky Conference Women’s Basketball Team on Tuesday.

Also, Post Falls alum Michelle Schultz of Boise State was selected as the league’s first team, and was selected the Big Sky Conference Outstanding Athlete. Idaho’s Mindy Rice, a junior center, was named to the first team as well.

Napier, a 6-foot senior center from Medical Lake, was named to the first team while junior forward Smith and Missall were honorable mention.

Schultz finished the regular season this year as the Big Sky’s leading scorer, averaging 19.6 points per game. She was also among the league’s top 10 in field-goal percentage and steals.

Big Sky women’s teams open the league tournament Friday in Missoula. EWU takes on Montana and Montana State takes on Boise State.

The winners play Saturday.
