Growth Panel Applicants Sought

People interested in serving as non-voting members of the Spokane County Growth Management Steering Committee should submit a letter to county commissioners by March 21.

Commissioners will choose three people to serve on the committee, two from the Valley and one from the North Side.

The committee, which is made up of the county commissioners and representatives from the 11 municipalities in the county, is rewriting county-wide growth guidelines and policies.

Its next big assignment is determining urban growth areas, where growth will be allowed.

Applicants can hand-deliver letters to the commissioners’ office on the first floor of the County Courthouse or mail them to: Spokane County Commissioners, 1116 W. Broadway, Spokane, WA 99260.
