From Staff And Wire Reports

A 30-year-old mentally disabled man was found at a pool hall Wednesday after numerous rescue workers spent much of Tuesday night and Wednesday morning searching for him.

Steven W. Norton of Hayden was reported missing Tuesday afternoon after he walked away from his Emerald Estates home in Hayden at about noon, according to Kootenai County Sheriff’s officials.

Lt. Ben Wolfinger said Norton has the mental development of a young adolescent and had wandered away from his home before.

More than 40 rescue workers from the sheriff’s department and Search and Rescue along with rescue dogs from Mountain West Rescue spent the evening and the next day looking for the man.

They were concerned that he may have seizures without his medication. At about 1 p.m. Wednesday Norton was found at Bogey’s Billiards and Bistro on 216 Coeur d’Alene Ave.
