Five Percent Pay Raise Approved For Judges

A Senate majority resisted the temptation to lash out at the courts on Thursday and approved a 5 percent pay raise for judges.

“When we get a decision that we like, we don’t go out and reward the judges,” Judiciary Chairman Denton Darrington, R-Declo, said. “When we get a decision that we don’t like, we should not act punitively. We ought to be fair.”
