Kerrigan Stalker Arrested

Compiled From Wire Services

A man was arrested this week carrying a homemade map of Nancy Kerrigan’s Cape Cod practice rink a day after leaving a tape of religious music at the skater’s house, police said.

Jason Roger Fields, 25, of Marietta, Ga., was arrested Sunday by Chatham police and sentenced to five days in jail for carrying a weapon and driving an unregistered car with a suspended license.

He was being held at the Barnstable County House of Corrections but is expected to be returned to Georgia, where he is wanted on a fugitive from justice charge stemming from an armed robbery.

At the time of his arrest, Fields’ car contained a homemade map with directions to Tony Kent Arena in South Dennis and a book with Kerrigan on the cover, according to court documents.
