Disney To Construct South Carolina Resort

The Walt Disney Co. is moving ahead with plans to construct its first domestic resort outside of California and Florida on Hilton Head Island.

The resort, which will open a year from now with 102 units on a 14-acre island, will include pools, shops and marina slips, Disney officials said.
