Mead High School Names Lilac Princess
The seventh of 12 Lilac Festival princesses was picked Wednesday night.
Tara Sullivan, a 17-year-old Mead High School student, is involved in drama, choir, cheerleading and gymnastics. She’s a member of the National Honor Society and a volunteer tutor at Brentwood Elementary.
Sullivan is the daughter of Mike and Norma Sullivan. She plans to study at the University of Montana and become a high school teacher.
One of the Lilac princesses representing 12 Spokane-area schools will be chosen as queen at 7 p.m. April 22 at Ferris High School.
The queen and the princesses will ride in the Lilac Festival Torchlight Parade on May 20.
