Juice Processor Plans Tri-City Plant

A Florida-based vegetable juice processor will begin operating an extraction plant here this summer, the Tri-City Industrial Development Council announced.

Florida Food Products of Eustis, Fla., will begin processing vegetables for juice in mid-July, Jerry Brown, vice president of operations, said Thursday.

The new production blending plant will extract vegetable juices and concentrates for a variety of value-added food products, including juices, salad dressings, sauces and flavorings.

The plant will employ 25 people, distributing products throughout the United States and for export.

Florida Food Products plans to purchase a variety of crops on contracts from mid-Columbia Basin farmers, Brown said.
