Love Packs Quite A Punch, Teen Tells Police

Her concert promoter says punk rock diva Courtney Love, widow of Kurt Cobain, routinely dives into the crowd when she performs with her band Hole.

But Lake Brantley High School junior Ryan O’Donell, who attended Tuesday night’s show at The Edge in Orlando, says Love not only dived but she also punched.

Ryan, 17, filed a misdemeanor battery complaint against Love on Saturday. He says Love slugged him approximately five times in the upper left part of his chest.

One fan said the singer became angry because everyone nearest the stage was male.

Love told security to bring some women forward, then got mad when someone in the audience made derogatory remarks.

Police Lt. Jerry Demings said the department would look for witnesses before sending Ryan’s complaint to the state attorney’s Office.
