Sarah Thorsett gave the Americans their lone gold medal in the 1,500 meters, to go with a silver and two bronze in the Pan American games.

Meanwhile, the Cubans were simply awesome, finishing 1-2 in three events to win four gold medals and three silvers and set two Pan American records.
