Newlywed Arrested In Wife’s Death

Compiled From Wire Services

A woman married last Valentine’s Day has been found dead in her home, and police suspect her husband.

Emory Snell was arrested in western Massachusetts on Sunday on a murder warrant in the slaying of Elizabeth Snell.

Police had arrested Snell on Thursday for threatening to kill his wife. She had gotten a restraining order against him the same day; he was freed on bail.

She didn’t show up in court Friday, and her body was found in an upstairs bedroom after a worried relative called police.

Snell, 41, a contractor, married Elizabeth Lee, 42, a nurse and real estate agent, on Feb. 14.
