Kathy Sprankle Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Kathy Sprankle will be at 1 p.m. today at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Gary Septer officiating.

Mrs. Sprankle, 35, died Friday at Kootenai Medical Center after a lingering illness.

Born in Coeur d’Alene, she was a 1978 graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School. She married Stephen Sprankle in 1987. They made their home in Coeur d’Alene.

Survivors include her husband and two daughters, Nicole Celeste and Lisa Michelle, at the home; her parents, Mildred and Marvin Hovland of Coeur d’Alene; two sisters, Helen Swofford of Coeur d’Alene and Peggy White of Dalton Gardens, Idaho; a brother, David Hovland of Coeur d’Alene; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Marigold Gibson Spokane

Private cremation will be held for Marigold A. Gibson, 72.

Mrs. Gibson, a longtime Spokane resident, died Friday. She was born in Evanston, Ill.

She graduated from Arizona State University in 1944. She taught at Fairchild Air Force Base for the Medical Lake School District for several years. She had lived in Spokane for 30 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynette Heline of Colbert; one son, John Gibson Jr. of Arlington, Wash.; one sister, Ianthe Jean Norman of Knoxville, Tenn.; her former husband, John Gibson of Everett, Wash., and four grandchildren.

Duane Perrigo Cheney

Memorial service for Duane L. Perrigo, 60, will be at 11 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Valley View Cemetery in Soap Lake, Wash.

Mr. Perrigo died Saturday at home. He was born in Kirkland, Wash.

He worked on the family dairy farm in Carnation, Wash., and graduated from high school in 1953. He was a Korean War veteran and served for 20 years with the Air Force, retiring in 1974. He had lived in Cheney for 23 years.

He was a member of the American Legion, Post No. 72.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna Perrigo; three sons, David Perrigo of Bellevue, Wash., Daniel Perrigo of Beaverton, Ore., and Darrin Perrigo of Spokane; one daughter, Debra FitzGerald of St. John, Wash.; his mother, Margaret Perrigo of Cheney; one brother, Alfred Perrigo of Redmond, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
