Teen Gets Tattoo In Front Of Class
For his unique show-and-tell project, Nampa High School senior Tom Elisando had a tattoo done in class.
Elisando asked English teacher Bonnie Robinson, parents and administrators if he could have Boise tattoo artist Bill Neuberger put a five-inch gecko on his leg.
As Neuberger went to work Tuesday, Elisando told classmates about the history of tattooing.
Neuberger used a stencil to outline the amphibian with sterile black ink.
“It’s just kind of irritating, but it doesn’t hurt,” Elisando said.
He advised them that he would have to keep the wound clean and soft with Vaseline. Elisando said he is willing to take a few precautions to protect his near-$100 investment.
