ALPINE SKIING

If one more person acts surprised that you still have the ski rack on your car, bonk ‘em on the head with your Rozzies and tell them to tune in.

Schweitzer reported its season-record snowpack on Thursday, with 109 inches on the top and the snow was still falling. (The highest level in January was 103 inches.)

Ski Bluewood will end its season Sunday with the Bluewood Annual Spring Happening. Info: (509) 382-4725.

Canadian resorts have scheduled to close as follows: Whitewater - April 2; Red Mountain - April 3; Apex, Big White, Silverstar and Fernie - April 17.

Schweitzer’s Festival Cup runs today through Sunday. Entry is $500 for five-member teams - actually a deal considering the inclusion of three-day lift tickets, meals, awards and goody bags. Info: (208) 265-4554.

Silver Mountain is open weekends only.

NORDIC SKIING

There’s only one more week of grooming scheduled on the Mount Spokane cross country ski trails. Expect some excellent corn snow conditions in the next few weeks.Info: 238-4025.

Schweitzer continues to groom its 8Ks of cross-country trails.

Methow Valley ski trail grooming will continue through April 2.

SNOWMOBILING

Grooming has ended in most areas of Spokane and North Idaho. Most sledders are heading for the high country.
