Yet Another Opportunity For The Stars To Come Out

Compiled By Staff Writer Rick Bo

Leave it to Cosmopolitan magazine to probe some celebrity sexual fantasies:

Jerry Seinfeld wants to spend the night with Madonna “because I’d love to just hitch up my pants afterward and say, ‘I’ll bet you thought that was really something else, huh?”’

Admits Jeremy Irons: “I’ve always rather regretted that I’ve never had a gay experience.”

k.d. lang lusted after Julie Andrews as Maria in “The Sound of Music”: “I loved her wholesomeness and her happy-go-lucky attitude.”

Garry Shandling is still hung up from his childhood: “One time, I remember, I asked my mother exactly what happened between the male and the female and she said, ‘Go look at the dogs in the front yard’ … To this day, I’m afraid of being hosed down while making love.”

Loose talk

Arnold Schwarzenegger, on pumping up (in Vanity Fair magazine): “When I was 15, I took off my clothes and looked in the mirror. When I stared at myself naked, I realized that to be perfectly proportioned I would need 20-inch arms to match the … rest of me.”

Wonder how she’s getting her kicks these days

Kelly LeBrock turns 35 today.

You couldn’t quite call him a closet king

Nigel Hawthorne (“The Madness of King George”) doesn’t think it’s any big deal to be the Academy Awards’ first openly gay best-actor nominee. Added longtime companion Trevor Bentham: “We’re just a dear old married couple … It’s not a question of Nigel and me coming out - we’ve never been in.”

Moms are always scouting out opportunities

After taking in the Broadway play “Love! Valor! Compassion!” about eight gay men, Barbra Streisand went backstage to meet the actors and asked them about their sexual preferences. Said one: “Well, are you asking that because you want to know or because Jason does?” (Streisand’s son, Jason, is gay.)

Guess she’s finally decided to join the club

On the straighter side of the street, Nancy Kerrigan’s mother has confirmed that the 25-year-old figure skater is engaged to her divorced manager, 40-year-old Jerry Solomon. No wedding date has been announced.

The wedding dress comes with a gravy train

Country singer Wynonna (as in Judd) says she plans to get hitched to Arch B. Kelley III, who’s the father of her baby boy, but not until she licks her lingering weight problem. Wynonna reportedly tips the scales at about 250.

Which would have been an even worse reality

And speaking of Madonna, despite her fleshier look during that MTV special to promote her new video, “Bedtime Story,” her manager insists: “No, she’s not pregnant. It’s just a bad rumor.”
