Bride Goes Down Aisle - And Back Again

A woman abducted by a former boyfriend during her wedding to another man may end up with neither as a husband.

The ex-boyfriend and six companions burst into the ceremony Thursday in a crowded hall, grabbed the 18-year-old newlywed right after she finished her “I do,” and drove away with her in his van, police said.

The jilted lover tried to win back the bride’s love. When that failed he brought her back to the hall.

There, she discovered that all the guests had departed, including the outraged groom.

Police said Friday that the bride, whose name was withheld, had returned home, and her family was trying to persuade the groom’s family to take her back.

The abductors remained at large.
