Ritual Murder In Botswana Unsolved
Two Scotland Yard detectives called in to solve the ritual murder of a 14-year-old girl have left Botswana without finding the killers.
The government requested Scotland Yard’s help after the murder last month touched off the worst rioting in years.
The rioters were outraged that three wealthy businessmen suspected in the murder had been released from jail.
Segametsi Mogomotsi was ritually slain in November and some of her body parts were removed. Her mentally retarded father remains in custody as a suspect.
Witchcraft involving ritual murder, usually committed to ensure business or political success, occurs occasionally in the region.
