Jackson Visits Simpson In Jail

Compiled From Wire Services

The Rev. Jesse Jackson visited O.J. Simpson in jail Sunday morning and said the former football star was close to tears during their hour-long meeting.

Simpson had “a sense of sorrow, no sense of arrogance,” Jackson said.

“He said he thought about the last time that he talked to his exwife and how he’s always longing for one more conversation,” Jackson said afterward.

Asked if he believed Simpson was guilty, Jackson declined to comment.
