Qantas Orders Five Boeing Jets
Qantas Airways Ltd. said Wednesday it has ordered five new jet airliners from The Boeing Co.
Qantas ordered from Seattlebased Boeing three 737-400s and two 767-300ERs, valued at a total of about $325 million. The airline also took options to buy two more 767s in 1997. Deliveries of the new jets will begin this December.
