Contest Wants Children’s Views Of Christ

Hearst Newspapers

Children worldwide, preschool through sixth grade, are invited to express the life of Christ in articles, artwork and dramatic presentations in a contest that will result in a trip around the world for the winner.

The contest winner and parent or guardian will travel around the globe on an adventure sponsored by leading missionary agencies.

Carey Kinsolving, a religious journalist and contest chairman, plans to write a newspaper column that draws from the entries.

The contest deadline is June 15. Individual entry forms may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Children’s Bible Contest, in care of SIM International, P.O. Box 7900, Charlotte, N.C. 28241-8819.

There are no entry fees, but children must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian.

Individuals and groups interested in sponsoring the Children’s Bible Contest in their areas may obtain information by writing Kinsolving at 947 Delmar Ave., S.E., Atlanta, GA 30316. Sponsor information and entry forms are also available through the GraceNet bulletin board at 404-979-8240 or via Internet FTP or Gopher at Gracenet.com in the Children’s Bible Contest directory.
