Cougars On Top In Baseball Race

Ron Naumu’s tworun triple Sunday launched Washington State toward an 11-7 victory over Washington that gave the Cougars sole possession of first place in the Pacific-10 Conference North Division baseball race.

Washington center fielder Lawyer Milloy left the game with a sprained wrist after running into the fence trying to catch Naumu’s blow, which ignited a six-run first inning.

Designated hitter Jason Hairston, drove in three runs for the Cougars.
